Biblioteka Miejska w Mrągowie

Biblioteka Miejska Wacław Gołowicz in Mrągowo was established on October 18, 1946. In 1984, the library was named after its longtime director, Wacław Gołowicz. In 1998, a decision was made to incorporate the library into the "Zodiak" Municipal Cultural Center, which resulted in the loss of its legal personality. In this way, the "Zodiak" Municipal Cultural Center was established, which, as a result of the expansion of its activities, was then renamed, on January 1, 2000, the Culture and Tourism Center in Mrągowo. The library functions in its structure as a Department and uses the name Miejska Biblioteka im. Wacław Gołowicz. The library's collections are composed of magazines, documents of social life and photographs from the institution's resources.
