Miejska Biblioteka Publiczna in Działdowo is a local government cultural institution operating in the city of Działdowo and the district of Działdowo. The basic tasks of the library include: collecting and making available the main collection of library materials, fulfilling the function of a library and bibliographic information center, collecting and sharing regional bibliography, participating in interlibrary lending and cooperation with various local communities in order to popularize reading. The library was established on July 2, 1945 on the initiative of the Municipal Education and Culture Commission. Collections at Miejska Biblioteka Publiczna in Działdowo create objects of a regional character: documents of social life, books, manuscripts and photographs.
